Humanitarian efforts ultimately amount to nothing if Jesus Christ is not the center. God created people with an eternal soul. Obviously it is good to take care of people and to help people get fresh water and food for themselves and their families. But at the end of the day, both the stomach and food will be destroyed. But a human SOUL will end up in either heaven or hell for all eternity. People need to know the gospel. Jesus is Love and cares for people's physicality, but He wants us all to repent and go the way of righteousness and love, that we may spend eternity with our Fatherin Heaven. Without true repentance and living in righteousness no one will make it into heaven. Be aware that charity alone causes many Christians to deviate from the true gospel. Stomachs will be temporarily FED but souls will be eternally LOST. Get to know Jesus for yourself and promote the gospel as well, so that others may also hear and preserve their soul.
