End Times Prophecy From Jesus
Well, praise Jesus today, everyone. A lot of false prophets have entered the world, a lot of people claiming to be Christians or Jews, and they deceive a lot of people because they say that Jesus is coming back on such and such a date, and then it doesn't happen, and their prophecies fail. But the prophecies that we can trust, the trustworthy prophecies or the prophecies that Jesus gave Himself. And i want to read to you what Jesus prophesied about the end times from Luke chapter 21. And as i read this, you can think to yourself what times we're in, what prophecy or what things within this prophecy have already taken place or are taking place. And then you can imagine what time period we are living in. So this is found in Luke, chapter 21. I'm starting in verse 7.
7So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?” 8And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them.”
And that is also something that is happening right now. A lot of people say that the time is drawn near, that they are the ones giving a true prophecy about God, or they say that they're Jesus, or that they're Jesus' agents. But Jesus tells us not to go after those people.
“9But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.”
This is another thing that people are not taking into account. A lot of the prophets think that Jesus will come back immediately because there is a pestilence, there's COVID-19, there's a war. But Jesus specifically told us that these things would take place and that we should not be letting our hearts become distressed and that the end will not come immediately as people in the world suppose.
10Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation”( like what is happening right now), “and kingdom against kingdom” (the same is happening right now). “11And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. 12But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. 13But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. 14Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; 15for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. 16You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. 17And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.”
(If we are a true believer in Jesus Christ, even other Christians will hate us, those Christians that have went the way of dead religion, the Babylon church, they will hate us because we know the truth.)
“18But not a hair of your head shall be lost. 19By your patience possess your souls. 20But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.”
(Should we know that God is with Jerusalem and that Jerusalem will overcome and she will see no sorrow? What does Jesus say?)
“21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” (This is very prophetic, guys.)
25“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
(The things Jesus said will come to pass, they are the faithful and the true words. Jesus said also), “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 32Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. 33Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”
We need to make sure that we are steadfast with Jesus. This whole world is going to be shaken. You can tell that the times we are living in are end times, because all of these things that Jesus gave in this prophecy are starting to come to pass, they've already come to pass, or they are in the process of coming to pass right as I speak. Will we be holding fast to Jesus to the end, or will we be with the world?
Jesus then ends it here with this, 34“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
I want to pray for those of you who are part of the true church, who will stand with Jesus and be part of those counted worthy to be with the Lord. “So Lord Jesus I pray for your true church, I pray for the body of Christ, I pray for those that are wanting to know your voice and to walk with you. I pray that we walk in humility and in righteousness, and that we are completely pure and unstained from the world. We know this world is on its way to hell, they have accepted all the things of Satan, and we know that you are bringing judgment on wickedness, we know you are bringing your judgment on all the wicked nations, but we also know that you know how to protect your children while you bring destruction on ungodliness. So please protect us, watch over us, let us be filled with your righteousness and your love, and let us be separate from the world, that we can bear good fruit for you, and eat your flesh and drink your blood and be part of your new covenant that we may have life with you Lord. In your name we pray Lord Jesus, Amen.”
